DSAC and Starship Paediatric Training Course on the Medical Assessment of Sexually Abused Children and Adolescents
This training course is run annually and is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary course for clinicians (doctors and nurses) wanting to gain competence, or to have an update, in the medical assessment of children and young people referred for alleged sexual abuse.
Medical/Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault
This training course is run annually and is an initial and refresher course for clinicians (doctors and nurses) to learn the skills of medical examinations for adults alleging sexual assault/abuse for the purposes of working under the Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment Service Contract.
Clinicians who would like to attend the medical training courses need to submit a completed DSAC Expression of Interest Form to the National Office. DSAC will assess all expressions of interest against specified criteria outlined on the form.
Expression of interest forms must be returned 30 days prior to course commencement.
